Brooks having A LOT of Firsts

Brooks has had a lot of firsts this last month. I should be better about staying up with the blog now that we have started doing a lot of things with Brooks. But for now I will just play quick catch-up. His first MLB game. He did so well. Slept a few innings at the end, but all and all he really liked it. Just sat and watched (although, I'm not sure his eyes can see that far).
His first time trying rice cereal. He loved it. Since this picture, he has tried bananas, avacados, and sweet potatoes. He does NOT like green beans. When I tried to give him some he started spitting it out and turning his head away, so I guess I'll try again when he is older.
His (and mom and dad's) first time at the Golden Gate Park. We went into San Fran to celebrate Nate's birthday. Nate is the big 26 now. We spent time walking around Golden Gate Park, then went the Ocean beach, and after that, went to eat at crepevine...it was very very good.
We couldn't resist. This is basically the best picture in the world. I love it.
Brooks first time watching fireworks. He LOVED them. This is what he was like the whole fireworks show. Very interesting. This was after the As game we went to (picture above).
This was Nate's happy birthday dessert. Unfortunately, Nate looks like a creeper right here, but he is actually is way more photogenic than this picture...oh well.
Ocean Beach in San Fran. It was SO SO SO windy. I had a blanket wrapped up over my head and around me. The locals said it was way more windy than usual. We will just have to go back and see if that's true.
Here we are spending a day at Stanford University. It is a beautiful campus.
The main quad of Stanford. There is a big Catholic church in the middle. It is really pretty and there were about 4 weddings we saw that Saturday we were there.
Brooks first time trying ice cream. He was staring and reaching for my spoon, so I decided he could have a little taste.

5 Months and Videos

I am loving this new stage Brooks is in. He babbles, he rolls, he smiles all the time, he loves his daddy. He can also entertain himself by grabbing and chewing on all of his toys. Some of his favorite things are rolling, talking, looking in the mirror and going on walks.

This is Nate's favorite picture of Brooks. We are on the top of Mt. Diablo. Brooks decided it was too sunny and took dad's sunglasses.

I get this face all the time. I'm not sure what it means yet.
He gets pretty tired jumping around in his jumparoo. He really has a fun time in it.

4 Months Old

Brooks and I visited my family in WA for 2 weeks while Nate worked long hours at work. After the 2 weeks in WA the whole family met up in Utah. I don't have any pictures of that trip. I will have to get them from my mom and post them later.

3 Months Old

Here are some pictures of Brooks. He turned 3 months old today. I don't know his stats right now, but I'll post them next week after his appointment. New things Brook can do. First off, I would like to tell everyone my little baby boy is an AWESOME sleeper. He sleeps at least 8 hours a night. Usually its about 9 to 10 hours. Also, he can roll over. So, here are some pictures to help you see what Brooks is up to these days.

2 Months Old

Brooks turned two months old yesterday. He is getting so big. The following pictures are of Brooks growth and some of the things he does now.

He Smiles!! He has been doing this for a while. Especially when I sing to him. I think he is laughing at me inside.
Its hard to pick my favorite picture, so I just picked a few of my favorites.


This on is off center because whenever the camera comes out, Brooks stops smiling and starts staring at it.



He stands for brief periods of time.

What we do all day long.

Brooks sits and I sing. He is starting to smile more and more when I sing to him. My sister said it's because he is laughing at my voice, which I must admit, is probably true.


We take walks.
Brooks takes naps and fights and fights to get his are out of his Snuggly. He does not like to be swaddled, but he wakes himself up if we don't.

We receive awesome gifts from Great Grandparents.
We exercise.
We play.
We relax and watch mobiles move over our heads. Mom uses this time to make dinner or clean the house.
We take naps.
We take baths.
And we just hang out sometimes.

Brooks had his two month check up last week (even though he was only 7 weeks). So, as of last week these are his stats.

11lbs 3 ozs. (60%)
23.5 inches (90%)
Can't remember head size. I know it is written down somewhere.
