3 Months Old

Here are some pictures of Brooks. He turned 3 months old today. I don't know his stats right now, but I'll post them next week after his appointment. New things Brook can do. First off, I would like to tell everyone my little baby boy is an AWESOME sleeper. He sleeps at least 8 hours a night. Usually its about 9 to 10 hours. Also, he can roll over. So, here are some pictures to help you see what Brooks is up to these days.

Here he is at one month.

Here he is at 3 months. Does he look bigger?

Here he is playing with his toy gym.

Sometimes he gets his fingers stuck because he can't let go.

Look at those feet...his dads feet.
Here he is being studious.
He has started to like his bumbo seat a lot more now.

He likes to suck on his fingers.
He regularly attends church now...tie and all.
And again...he sleeps.

I'll post stats next week.

2 Months Old

Brooks turned two months old yesterday. He is getting so big. The following pictures are of Brooks growth and some of the things he does now.

Here is Brooks as a newborn. We didn't get the whole penguin or Brooks.

Brooks at 1 month old. We didn't take a picture with the penguin.

Brooks at 2 months.

Here are some of the things Brooks can do at 2 months.

He Smiles!! He has been doing this for a while. Especially when I sing to him. I think he is laughing at me inside.
Its hard to pick my favorite picture, so I just picked a few of my favorites.

This on is off center because whenever the camera comes out, Brooks stops smiling and starts staring at it.

He stands for brief periods of time.

Typical boy...he had had enough kisses.

Brooks just playing with dad as he was getting strapped up in his carseat.

Random Pictures of What We Do

What we do all day long.

Brooks sits and I sing. He is starting to smile more and more when I sing to him. My sister said it's because he is laughing at my voice, which I must admit, is probably true.

We take walks.
Brooks takes naps and fights and fights to get his are out of his Snuggly. He does not like to be swaddled, but he wakes himself up if we don't.

We receive awesome gifts from Great Grandparents.
We exercise.
We play.
We relax and watch mobiles move over our heads. Mom uses this time to make dinner or clean the house.
We take naps.
We take baths.
And we just hang out sometimes.

Brooks had his two month check up last week (even though he was only 7 weeks). So, as of last week these are his stats.

11lbs 3 ozs. (60%)
23.5 inches (90%)
Can't remember head size. I know it is written down somewhere.

3 Weeks and Counting

And 2010 comes to an end.

Upon Request....here are pictures of the little man. He is three weeks old today. We had tons of fun having the whole Hadley clan here for Christmas and also having Nate's Parents here for the week between Christmas and New Years. This year has brought a lot of change to our little family. We moved to California, Nate started his first REAL job, and we welcomed little Brooks into our family. We love him to pieces.
Pictures are random, sorry.

Getting his diaper changed. I went through three in one changing. He didn't finish until the fourth one was put on. I'm learning to wait a little while, haha.

Tummy time. He likes to relax the first 10 minutes then moves all over the place the last 5.

This is Dad trying to put him to sleep. He loves laying on his side like this.

Uncle Spence!! Spencer (my brother) just finished his mission for the LDS church the week after Brooks was born.
Uncle Matt. Matthew has a special connection with Brooks. Matt believes they both (him and Brooks) come from Mt. Olympus.

Blessing day. He was pretty hungry.
This is the cross eyed look we get a lot.
One satisfied dude.
He is starting to be awake more during the day and a lot more alert.
Blessing day. He would only calm down once we put him in his car seat. It's magic. He loves car rides or going on walks. I think he knows one is coming when he is put in his car seat.

Thanksgiving and More

Thanksgiving was a very big weekend for us. Nate was able to come home around 12 noon Wed, so our Thanksgiving break was able to start early. Thanksgiving Day not only marked on of the best holidays of the year, but it was also our 2 year Anniversary. We had a great weekend of shopping, eating, and seeing one very special family member. I'll give you the highlights with each picture.
This is Elder Hadley (or Spencer, my younger brother). He is serving his mission in Roseville, CA, which is only about 1.5 hours from were Nate and I live. I was not too excited about having NO family around during Thanksgiving, so I emailed Spencer to see if we could go see him for a few hours on Thanksgiving. Well, his awesome Mission President said yes, and so we went. This is my amazing brother Spencer. He will be released from his mission Dec. 18th and our little boy is due Dec. 17th.

After spending some time with Elder Hadley, Nate and I headed home. We stopped at walmart and got a rotisserie chicken and then came home to make the rest of our Thanksgiving meal. While I was making dinner, Nate set up our REAL Christmas tree (Nate refused to get a fake one). Pictures to come later.

Here I am at 37 weeks. I guess that means I'm full term right here. This was taken at Macy's in Union Square, San Fransisco.

Here we are on the 8th floor of Macy's and The Cheesecake Factory. We had seats outside that looked over Union Square.
Union Square. The lighting ceremony for the big tree on the left was that night. We had already been at The Cheesecake Factory for about 1.5 hours BEFORE the ceremony started. I wanted to leave because I felt bad taking a table up, but everyone around us said don't leave. Just order a hot chocolate and watch the program...so we did.

If you look very carefully, to the left of the big poll, there is a woman in a tan coat singing. That is Kathrine McPhee. She was AMAZING. Very powerful voice. She sang 2 songs from her new album.
This is us from our seats...front and center, 8 stories up.

We are in Union Square now taking a picture of Macy's and the Cheesecake Factory sign (yes, I'm obsessed. I told Nate that he has to tell me while I'm in labor that once I'm finished I will be rewarded with a slice of The Ultimate Red Velvet Cheesecake....oh yeah, and a beautiful baby boy).
Scary picture...I know, but its hard to get any good ones when my face is twice the size as it used to be. Nate looks good though.

It was an amazing weekend as we celebrated Thanksgiving, our 2 year anniversary, and making it full term in this pregnancy. I am Thankful for all my many blessings. Especially for my wonderful husband (I love him and he is awesome) and for this wonderful baby boy who loves to kick my ribs.
